July 8, 2013

Day TWO in Singapore :)

DAY 2
-3rd of July-

We set a to-do-list before the trip.
We intended to put on make up everyday
*when in Sing*.
I brought my cosmetics while May brought hers and also remover.
I couldn't bring liquids as I was taking plane.
The maximum capacity of liquids that allowed to bring was 100ml.
It was troublesome
:/

We got up at 8 o'clock today.
I began to pace up and down the room.
As you all know,
I had an aversion to getting up early.
=P
After get washed and dressed,
we went to Yakun Cafe which is in Bugis Junction for breakfast.

Cantonese style breakfast :D

Benson and Aaron wandered off and got lost.
We were waiting for them to return.
They eventually came back to Bugis Junction by public
bus after a while.
Girls had the meals therefore we waited for the two
 guys to have theirs.

 Then,
we took MRT to Harbour Front station.
We stayed in Sentosa for the whole day.
There're three ways to get to Sentosa from Vivo Mall (Harbour Front)
Firstly, buses. ($2)
Secondly, trains.($4)
Thirdly, footing ($1)

We've chosen walking after all.
Why?
We wanted to take pictures along the Sentosa boardwalk.
Here we go
^___^

Before we start walking :D
Pass-byer took this photo for us :) 6 of us

Somebody is trying to be photo-boomer ><
Few meters away from Sentosa Park

The joyfulness when we've arrived our destination- USS
(Universal Studio Singapore)
A-must-take-photo when you are in USS
=D

Me and the earth :D

Group photo

Food street

Photo session while the guys were queuing up to buy the entrance tickets.
The theme of USS was Elmo
:)
The entrance tickets were cute.
The entrance fee was $66 for each.
USS is now having promotion.
The normal price should be $74 if I am not mistaken
12 o'clock,
we entered the park and began to play.

May has been to here before so she was the tour guide.
It was my first time to be in USS even though I've been to Sing for 3 times.
We had fun in the park.
I was extremely excited and wanted to try all games.
We spent our time wisely.
We followed the map and played in order.
USS Map

First park - Madagascar

The queue was long.
The crowd just never dies
It's filled with people all around the world.
It took average 45 mins for every park.
You would never feel tired if you are queuing with friends.
Wootsssss
All I could feel is excitement and curiosity.
We enjoyed the river boat ride with Madagascar themes.
River boat ride

After that,
we headed to Far Far Away park.
According to the USS Map,
Shrek 4D Adventure, Donkey Live show, Enchanted Airways as well as Magic Potion Spin are the attractions of this park.
The one I like the most within this park is Shrek 4D.
The storyline of the movie was cool.
We are sprayed with water while the movie is being played.
Luckily it wasn't much water spraying out.
I was sorta speechless with the Donkey 'LIVE' Show.
It ought to be LIVE since they called it live show.
Instead,
I didn't see any real donkey but visual-made donkey (on screen)
The so-called Donkey

May yelled out loud when we were playing Enchanted Airways.
I couldn't find any excitement from this.
:P
However,
I enjoyed it.
We skipped Magic Potion Spin and I guessed it is for young child.
Far far away

We decided to get a short break after the Enchanted Airways.
Aaron and Benson were hungry so we sat on the bench of Discovery food court.
The break wasn't short but quite long.
We even went to second round of lunch at one of the stall.

Around 3 o'clock,
we began to queue up for the next park with energetic bodies.
The Lost World is happened to be our third stop.
(Canopy Flyer, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, Dino-Soarin, Waterworld & Amber Rock Climb)
We played the Canopy Flyer which is flying swing ride for 4 persons.
It was fun and I enjoyed the view when I was flying in the sky.
I should show photo so that you are more clear with that.
:)

We didn't play the kiddy ride
(Amber Rock Climb and Dino-Soarin)
=P
I think we are over-weighted and over-height-ed.
We stood in the lines of Jurassic after the Canopy Flyer.

A few of articles were pasted up on the wall to inform that the riders possibly getting soaked.
We're worried about it at first.
We ended up playing this because it seemed to be fun.
We didn't want to skip this.

This game is great.
The quick drop from high to the low scared me.
I felt so insecure.
Thanks god I wasn't really wet.
Benson and Aaron were completely wet.
I laughed like a devil when I knew I am dry.
It's impossible not to getting wet.

Overall, it's total fun.

The quick drop.

The dry pod

Aaron paid $5 for this thingy.
Dry pods are prepared for guests to dry off after getting soaked
It's quite big and 5 of them squeezed inside
:P

We ran to New York Zone- Sesame Street to watch 4pm's Elmo show.
For your info,
most of the teenagers are crazy over Elmo.
But, I don't

And here comes Ancient Egypt

Revenge of the Mummy is the only attraction for this park.
I've heard of Jackson that this is the best game in USS.
I was looking forward to this game.
Before this,
I kept on asking May about this.
Curiosity killed me.
The answer I've got from her was 'IT IS SCARY'

I couldn't restrain my curiosity.
I wanted to give a try so eagerly.
There's a 'WARNING' signal at the entrance of this game.

The revenge of Mummy is an Egyptian-themed indoor roller coaster.
May told me that the speed of the roller coaster was fast.
The path was decorated with Egyptian stuff.
May has tried it before and this game was torturing her.
She wanted to challenge it but the fearfulness restrained her.
She was closing her eyes all the time in previous.
Today,
she wanted to challenge herself by opening the eyes in the whole game.
Of course,

I am supporting her.
She showed her great courage.
I bet it took lots of bottle to accept this challenge.

To be prank,
I had no feeling when playing this game.
I didn't manage to scream my lung out.
Hmmmmm.
I am fearless?
I thought it would be very scary but it's just a piece of cake to me.
I wasn't being sarcastic
Maybe I've heard a lot from others and I set my expectation too high.

We headed to Sci Fi City then.
Transformers The Ride was the next.
It was an ultimate 3D battle against the forces of evil.
It was awesome
:)

It has a great senses of speed, direction and turn and everything happens so fast.
This definitely brought the 3D up to a new level.

Joanne dared me to play the Battlestar Galactica.
I never thought of playing this in my life.
I wasn't a brave person.
I had no idea why they thought that I could handle this.
I put on a bold front so they thought that I am brave, perhaps?

Google image- Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica is a dual roller coaster : HUMAN (Red) & CYLON (Blue)
May, Joanne, Cheesy and Aaron did not want to play this.

It ended up leaving me and Benson.
I was kind of afraid when I was about to enter the queue.
Thanks to Benson for pulling me in.
I even thought of turning back as I began to feel fearful.
Walking towards the onboard platform was killing me.
I wished there's no end.
Eventually,
I played both.
These two games really got me.
I found its excited and fun.
Sum everything into a word, FUN.
I screamed and I talked to Benson while it's running.
The conversation eased my mind and reduced the tension.
I enjoyed myself to the maximum.
I managed to open my eyes throughout the wild ride.
It was mad but I love it.
I felt dizzy when I got down.

Human  -Red Track

Yet,
I went out and started to persuade Joanne to give an attempt.
Apparently,
the persuasion failed.
I should work harder for the subject of Social Psychology.

I played the Cylon with Benson twice.
It was a high speed turbulent roller coaster that includes plenty of sudden acceleration, extreme twists as well as turns.
There are 4 times of 360 turning in Cylon

This is how the seat of Cylon looks like.
With legs dangling

Cylon- Blue Track

We took a quick walk to New York and Hollywood City.
Let the photos do the talk.
*Teehee*

Joanne at Far Far Away :)

Elmo World
Acting cute. *Pai seh*

We left the park by 7.30pm.
It's closed or else I was planning to stay longer.
I am hoping I could come back later.
*wink wink* *kisses*

Aaron left right after the Transformer Rides
He had a date with his friends.
My feet got hurt due to the miles and miles walking.
Plus, the not-so-comfy- shoes
D:
 However,
I did not feel like going back so early.
I wanted to walk around in Sentosa Island even though I am tired.
Cheesy wanted to leave so badly as she is exhausted.
To be honest,
I would feel emo if we really go back after that.
I did not wished to waste my night in hotel rooms.

I told Cheesy that and she agreed to stay.
Hoorrayyyy.
We had our dinner at one of the restaurant in Resort World Sentosa
The name doesn't come to my mind.
I forgotten the name.
The foods were good and the staffs were friendly.
In my maladroit way,
I accidentally spilled the food.
Sob.
I thought I was so gonna waste $9 for that.
The staff called me to the counter when I was back from cleaning.
They prepared the same set of foods for me.
And guess what?
It's FOC.
This absolutely made my night.

We were hanging around in Sentosa Island after the meal.
Photo time :)

That's the end of day 2.
:D
Universal Studio Singapore was total fun
